Updated “F” tag regulations

As of 11/22/17, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services developed new F-tags to determine the quality of care provided to residents in long term care.   Here are the updated regulations:

483.25 Assisted Nutrition and Hydration

F692 and F693: Assisted Nutrition and Hydration (formally F327)

483.30 Physician Delegation

F715-Physician delegation of tasks in SNFs

483.60 Food and Nutrition Services

F801-802: Staffing

F803: Menus and nutrition adequacy (formally F363)

F804-F807 Food and drink

F808-Therapeutic Diets

F809-Frequency of meals

F810-Assistive devices

F811-Paid feeding assistants

F812-814-Food safety requirements (formally F371)

A few other tags that also include nutrition:

F550-Resident’s Rights

F636-Comprehensive Assessments (formally F325)

F657-Comprehensive Care Plans (formally F279)

F686-Skin Integrity

F865-Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
